[Staff Comment]

Kawahira draws on the frightening dreams and horror films of his childhood, and on the imaginary creatures and landscapes they conjure—giving his work an eerie, otherworldly air. ✨ Yet there is a quiet tenderness deep in the eyes of his creatures, drawing you in. We hope you’ll come and see the works in person.(Mogi)

[Exhibition Information]

art remix

“Remix” means to re-edit a work, or the re-edited work itself—but here we’d like you to read it as looking afresh at existing works through a new perspective. In a contemporary art scene that changes by the moment, where values are constantly being updated, revisiting works with fresh eyes and viewing them from the perspective of “now” reveals new discoveries. We look forward to seeing how this exhibition resonates with the Shibuya audience that keeps driving the present forward.
