現代人の象徴「AKIO」を、新たな姿として提示した作品です。このシリーズではに立ち上がり、彫像のように直立しています。 無表情のまま観る者を見下ろすその姿は、個人でありながら同時に現代社会を象徴する存在として現れます。 画面には角度の異なる複数のAKIOの姿が重なり、同一人物の多面性と、群像化した現代人の姿が示されています。 シルバーの背景とドローイングのような断片的な線で、実在する人物でありながら、 同時に時代によって形づくられた「像」としてのAKIOを表現しました。
