Holbein Color Gesso is a base coat made by adding color to the company's standard particle (M) type Gesso. It is very useful because it can create a base coat with high saturation and deep colors. Color Gesso is less likely to discolor or fade, and comes in strong colors, so it can also be used as a paint that can produce a matte finish. Gold, silver, and bronze give a glossy finish on smooth surfaces.

How to use
- It is kneaded to a stiff consistency to give it thickness, so if the brush feels heavy, mix in about 20% water.
