plus art co.,ltd (English: plus art co.,ltd; based in Shibuya, Tokyo; represented by Taku Nitta), a company built around the idea of enjoying contemporary art, presents "UP AND COMERS Vol.3," a group exhibition spotlighting promising young artists within their first eight years of activity, opening April 29, 2024 at +ART GALLERY, 3F Tokyu Plaza Shibuya.
After three years in its gallery on the 14F of Shibuya Scramble Square, in the heart of Shibuya, +ART GALLERY now opens a new chapter on the 3F of Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, inside the new Shibuya Fukuras complex. +ART GALLERY will continue to stage exhibitions that grow the community of people who delight in collecting art and that support artists in building their careers.
The third edition of "UP AND COMERS"
This exhibition focuses on the "promising young artists within eight years of starting their careers" who have caught the eye of the +ART staff. It offers a chance to experience the "art world of tomorrow" these emerging artists are creating. Following the great response to the first and second editions, we are pleased to present the third.
It brings together works born of free imagination and a wide range of techniques. Each piece reflects the messages, passion, and ideas of its maker, inviting visitors to discover new perspectives and stir their own sensibilities.
By taking part in the show, the artists themselves also gain valuable feedback on their work, fueling their further growth. Conceived as a place to champion the young artists who will shape the future of art and to introduce their talent widely, this exhibition warmly welcomes both seasoned collectors and those just beginning to consider collecting.
Come and feel, in person, the power of works filled with the genuine voices of these young artists, recommended by the +ART staff, who pursue their craft with fierce determination while wrestling with anxieties and doubts about the future. We look forward to welcoming you!
