Plus Art Co., Ltd. (English name: plus art co.,ltd., location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, representative: Taku Nitta), which operates a business based on the theme of enjoying contemporary art, will hold a two-person exhibition by Higuchi Ayame and Fujimura Shiori, "NEW JAPANESE PAINTING - Futeki Ryuko -" at Tokyu Plaza Shibuya 3F +ART GALLERY from January 15, 2024 .
After three years of operating a gallery on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square in the heart of Shibuya, +ART GALLERY will be expanding to the 3rd floor of Tokyu Plaza Shibuya in Shibuya Fukuras, a new commercial facility in Shibuya. +ART GALLERY will continue to hold special exhibitions with the aim of increasing the number of people who enjoy art collections and supporting the careers of artists.
CONCEPT：NEW JAPANESE PAINTING – Unfavorable –
This two-person exhibition will feature works by Higuchi Ayame and Fujimura Shiori. Both artists work within the framework of two-dimensional painting known as "Japanese painting," and both produce pop, tactile works that overturn the traditional classical image of Japanese painting and the image that only a few people have of it. They are both popular artists who are also buyers among contemporary art collectors.

I create my works with the hope of brightening the feelings of those who view them. If my paintings can warm people's hearts even a little, that's what I've been thinking since I was a child. That feeling remains the same today. I'm still in the process of searching for my own unique colors and world, but I hope that this exhibition will be able to move people's hearts even just a little.
