■Description of the work : "WALKY, who has been split into many parts by the power of photo-processing, has a party with friends who look just like him. The time he spends with like-minded friends (many parts of himself) is a wonderful time, just like a birthday." The monochrome Cupid (angel and devil) represents the fact that when one character splits into two and faces each other, an arrow pierces himself, and he begins to like himself. The theme of the work is "Fun time that you can spend alone and self-contained enriches your own heart."
This painting is a fusion of image processing (digital work) and painting (analog work). The processing is done in the same way as when you take a selfie to make your face thinner or your eyes bigger. I think that incorporating these processing techniques into my paintings also affirms the superficial desire for self-actualization (desire for transformation) that is common on social media today.
