tsukikage〜一个男人和一个女人〜

This is one of a series of works based on the theme of "Things that move secretly in the middle of the night." It depicts the subtle emotions and sexual relationships that arise between men and women, as well as the ever-changing landscape of a moonlit night.

This painting was done with oil paint on an absorbent base. I was conscious of the fluid brush strokes and the gloss and transparency that are unique to oil paintings when I painted. The high-quality Holbein oil paint I used, "Vernet," is characterized by its good color development and high saturation. My style of painting is often to improvise colors and images while painting, but "Vernet" has an extremely high level of completion as a paint, which gave me the support I needed to create my work.
