현대 아트를 즐기는 것을 테마로 사업을 전개하는 주식회사 플러스아트(영문 표기: plus art co.,ltd, 소재지: 도쿄도 시부야구, 대표: 닛타 타쿠)는 한국·영국을 거점으로 활동하는 예술가 'NOMA'의 일본 첫 개인전 『Contemporaryman_21stCentury’s Mona Lisa』를 2024년 3월 18일부터 +ART GALLERY에서 개최합니다. 또한 3월 30일에는 초대제로 현장 라이브 페인팅도 진행합니다.
■ ABOUT "NOMA"
2024년 3월 18일(월)부터 한국·영국을 거점으로 활동하는 예술가 'NOMA'를 초빙하여 'Contemporary Man_ 21st Century’s Mona Lisa' 시리즈의 전시회를 개최합니다.
From March 18, 2024 (Monday), we will invite the Korea-UK based artist “NOMA” to hold an exhibition of the series “Contemporary Man_ 21st Century’s Mona Lisa”.
NOMA는 한국을 거점으로 활동하는 예술가로, 주로 유화로 그림을 그립니다. NOMA is a Korea-based artist who paints primarily in oil.

■ 『Contemporary Man_ 21st Century’s Mona Lisa』
그의 시리즈 제목에는 '모나리자'를 인용하고 있으며, 현대(21세기)의 우리를 그리고 있습니다. 레오나르도 다 빈치가 '모나리자'를 그리던 시대에는 사진 기술이 존재하지 않았기에, 그는 자연계의 '빛' '그림자' '형상' '얼굴 표정' '아름다움' 등을 세밀하게 관찰하고 치밀한 연구를 진행했습니다. 또한 예술적 표현의 자유를 추구하기 위해 사실적 표현과 예술적 표현의 균형을 잡았습니다. NOMA는 다 빈치와 마찬가지로, 21세기 우리 인간의 '내면적 리얼'을 회화로 표현하고 있는 것입니다.
The title of his series is a reference to the “Mona Lisa,” which depicts us in the modern (21st) century. Since photographic technology did not exist at the time Leonardo da Vinci painted the “Mona Lisa,” he made detailed observations and meticulous studies of “light,” “shadow,” “shape,” “facial expression,” and “beauty” in the natural world. He also struck a balance between realism and artistic expression in his pursuit of freedom of artistic expression. like da Vinci, NOMA expresses in his paintings the “inner realism” of us human beings in the 21st century.
