アートをより身近に感じて欲しい、今の時代にとって必要と思われる絵画を作りたいという思いから、手軽に貼ることができるシールという素材に辿り着きました。 遠目から見るとただの風景画に見える作品は、近づいてみると１枚１枚の丸いシールのみで構成されていることに気づきます。都会の現代風景をシールのみで描くことで、シール特有のフラットで表層的な質感が、現代風景に内在している表面的なよそよそしさと重なり、美しさとは何かという本質を問いかけます。本作は2020年に渋谷駅再開発のために解体された東急東横店のために制作されました。閉店する数ヶ月前の夜景をモデルにしました。閉店間際までこの作品を展示し、多くのお客様が東横店の閉店を惜しみました。
About the Artwork
素材は既存の文房具店で販売している丸シールで描いています。木製のパネルを黒く塗装し、その上から丁寧にシールを一枚ずつ貼っています。貼付後はニスを５層ほど塗ることでシールの褪色と剥離を防いでいます。

For all artworks handled by +ART GALLERY, shipping is cash on delivery (freight collect).
Artworks require careful, protective packaging, and the dimensions and insurance fees vary with each shipment, which makes it difficult to determine the shipping cost in advance.
For this reason, at the time of purchase we present only the price of the work and consumption tax; the freight-collect shipping fee is communicated by email when the work is dispatched. Given the nature of artworks, we ask for your kind understanding.
