Watercolor Medium (Special Effects Medium)

Watercolor Medium Series

This is a series of mediums exclusively for watercolor paints and watercolor paintings that broaden the range of expression and techniques of artists. It creates a variety of expressions that could not be created with water alone.

Gum arabic paste

Gives watercolor paints brushstrokes and other touches.
It also suppresses the fluidity of the paint, preventing the paints from mixing together as they dry on the screen. After drying, the surface becomes calm and not sticky.

Gum Arabic Medium

This is a medium used when mixing with pigments to make your own watercolor paints.
Mixing it with watercolor paints will increase transparency and create deeper colors. Mixing it with opaque watercolor paint "Gouache" or Poster Color Plus will create a transparent watercolor look.

<Precautions for use>
If you use too much it will leave a shine on the screen.

Iridescent Medium

It gives watercolors a pearlescent shine and luster and can also be applied alone to the surface after drying.

You can create a more effective glitter effect by mixing it with watercolors on a palette or using sputtering techniques.

Watercolor Medium

Mixing it with paint increases the paint's color spread and allows you to draw fine lines neatly.
Drying will be somewhat slower.

＜How to use＞
Mix it with watercolors on the palette and use it without diluting it too much.

<Precautions for use>
Adding it to the water reservoir has little effect, and using too much can leave a glossy finish on the painting and make the areas hard and brittle.
It is acidic to adjust viscosity, so do not mix with ultramarine paints.

Oxgoal

It improves the compatibility of watercolor paints with paper and is effective for blurring and dripping techniques. It improves the adhesion of paint to paper with a strong size.

＜How to use＞
Add a drop to the paint on your palette and mix. Alternatively, you can pre-apply some watered-down OX-GALL to your paper.

<Precautions for use>
Paper that is too absorbent will dull the paint colors.

Multi-sizing

By applying this to paper that absorbs water easily, it reduces the absorption of watercolor paint and prevents bleeding. Since it is a sizing agent for watercolor paper (western paper), it improves the color development of the paint without changing the color of the paper.

Apply the undiluted solution with a brush or similar and allow it to dry completely before using.

After use, wash any brushes or paintbrushes thoroughly with soap.
