An introduction to Yu Yasuda, an artist of HOLBEIN ART FAIR 2022 4th
A fine artist whose work is characterized by fluid worlds and colors that evoke the flow of time and space and the sense of a landscape. He draws out the essence of things and phenomena that exist without relying on human intervention, scooping up the expressions that take shape through the very act of perceiving them, while carefully holding on to the wavering signs released from the subconscious without letting them slip by. When trying to capture, within the space of a painting, the way forms and thoughts keep diversifying and changing, how much of the explanatory element should be pared away, and where should the boundary line be drawn? There, depending on the nature of the relationship between the individual (the work) and the other, the work can become either figurative or abstract.

2007: Completed the Oil Painting Course, Fine Art Major, Graduate School of Art and Design, Musashino Art University

"Yokohama Museum of Art Collection: Expressions of Light" (Yokohama Museum of Art)

His work is held in numerous collections both in Japan and abroad. He has also created public works for the Toranomon Hills residence space and clinic halls, and in recent years has broadened the scope of his activities, undertaking commissioned works for individuals and companies alike.
