plus art co., ltd. (headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo; representative: Taku Nitta), a company built around the theme of enjoying contemporary art, will hold a solo exhibition by YOUBOB from July 8, 2024, at the ＋ART GALLERY on the 3rd floor of Tokyu Plaza Shibuya.
Solo Exhibition ARTIST：YOUBOB
An artist with a wide range of styles and techniques, YOUBOB has held solo exhibitions across Japan and has been involved in a great variety of artwork and projects—live painting, mural work, cover artwork for CDs and records, design for apparel brands, package design, and more—as both an artist and a designer. In recent years he has continued to explore new modes of expression, producing animation and three-dimensional works. Under the alias OLDCHILD he also makes beats, working freely across forms of expression: he digitally released his 1st album "CHILD PLAY" in 2020 and, in the summer of 2022, the collaborative album "TRICK STAR" with MannerEater.
Signature works
YOUBOB collaborates with a wide range of creators and artists through diverse means of expression, yet in his own solo shows he refuses to be bound by any mold, continually unveiling new work. In his own words, it feels like "having multiple personalities." Please do take a look.
