plus art co.,ltd (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Taku Nitta), whose business is built around the theme of enjoying contemporary art, will hold "UP AND COMERS Vol.2," a group exhibition of up-and-coming young artists within eight years of their debut who deserve attention now, beginning October 16, 2023 at +ART GALLERY on the 3rd floor of Tokyu Plaza Shibuya.

"UP AND COMMERS," now in its second edition
This exhibition focuses on "promising young artists within eight years of beginning their careers" who have caught the eye of the plus art staff, offering a place to experience the "future of the art world" that these young artists are creating. The first edition was very well received, leading to this second one.
For this second edition, we have completely renewed the main visual from the past, expressing a design that conveys an "up"-and-rising momentum and a "coming" sense of what's to come, along with a fresh and youthful impression.
It offers an opportunity for works created with free imagination and a variety of techniques to come together in one place. The exhibited works vividly reflect the messages, passion, and ideas of their makers, and stimulate fresh perspectives and sensibilities in everyone who views them.
The artists themselves also take part in the exhibition, allowing them to gain a wealth of feedback on their own work and grow further. We hope that collectors, as well as those who are considering starting a collection, will come and visit this exhibition, which serves as a place to support the young artists who will shape the future of the art world and to introduce their talents widely.
Please come to the venue to experience first-hand the power of works filled with the genuine feelings of these young artists recommended by the plus art staff—artists who, while strongly driven in their practice, also carry anxieties and inner struggles about the future. We look forward to welcoming you.
