"Digital Real Exhibition" - Experiencing the Digital in Real Life

PLUS ART Inc. (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Taku Nitta), which supports the creators of contemporary art, is pleased to announce that from Monday, June 20, 2022, it will hold the "Digital Real Exhibition" - an art show that lets you experience digital works in real life - at "+ART GALLERY" on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square.

In recent years, "digital x art" has drawn growing attention with the arrival of Web 3.0 - illustrators who work in the digital realm are now featured in popular music videos, and digital works are issued as NFTs with certificate functions added on Twitter. Traditionally, art was something owned mainly in the real world, but today works can be digitized and owned and exhibited in the metaverse.

While the public remains somewhat skeptical, asking "Is something created digitally really art?", we believe that all of it is indeed art. Owning a piece may satisfy the desire to possess, which is part of the appeal of collecting, but art also brings richness and a sense of attachment, and we believe it delivers the effect we seek precisely in the analog world.

And so, this time we present digitally created art in an exhibition staged at a physical venue, holding the "Digital Real Exhibition" in analog form. By enjoying digital art in real life and presenting it as fine artwork, we hope to create more ways and more opportunities for people to enjoy and engage with art.

- Digital data is provided by the participating artists and printed and framed as premium prints.

- Each work is sold as a limited edition of 30 (each signed).

- Some of the participating artists active in the digital field will be present at the gallery.

Background designer and concept artist. Works span world-building design for games and light novels, illustrations for literary fiction, and image art for municipalities and companies.

After completing a master's degree at the Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University, worked at an electronics manufacturer and a patent office before entering the game industry, reaching the current position. Has exhibited at "Bijutsu no Saiten - Tokyo Ten -," "your collection 2022," and more. Author of "Yssh Fantasy & SF Background Works & Making" (Genkosha). Work also featured in "Kenchiku Chishiki" (X-Knowledge), "Eshi 100-nin ver.3 - The Best Masterpieces of 100 Eshi" (BNN), "Utsukushii Jokei Illustration: Fantasy-hen" (PIE International), "VISIONS 2021 ILLUSTRATORS BOOK" (KADOKAWA/pixiv), and others.

Based in Fukuoka Prefecture. A life-size shojo illustrator who sublimates the delicate, complex feelings of a young woman's heart through vivid pink.

Born in 1997. Based in Chiba Prefecture. Has worked as a creator since 2020 alongside a job in the pet industry. Mainly creates figures and logo illustrations in achromatic tones under the concept of "Fukigen" (Grumpy). Loves creating not only illustrations but also video and project concepts.

Winner of the ARTEE Contest; appeared on Kanagawa TV's "Mizutamari Bond no Marumaru Iku tte yo"; featured in "art book CUT2021"; 2022 solo exhibition "monory."

While working as an artist for Weekly Shonen Jump, also began freelance work under the separate name "Kazuki Oekaki" on social media. Active across a wide range of fields, including animated music videos, jacket illustrations, book and magazine illustrations, and apparel.

Won a Weekly Shonen Jump manga award as a student and began an artist career.

After graduating, worked as a designer at an apparel manufacturer while drawing manga. During that time, also began posting illustrations on social media and started freelance work. After leaving the manufacturer, continues to work today focusing mainly on manga and freelance art.

・むめな

Born February 18, 2002. Based in Tokyo. A freelance student illustrator who draws women.

Sold an online class via TranSe; took part in NIGAOETOKYO vol.9 at Urawa PARCO; sold merchandise via Village Vanguard; presented promotional illustrations for Mio Kanda's short-story collection; participated in a joint exhibition by DIGARO; introduced on NHK Educational TV's "Numa ni Hamatte Kiite Mita"; featured in illustration2022; participated in a joint exhibition by TranSe.
