[Author introduction] Kiyoo Ota

Introducing “SYNESTHESIA” artist Kiyoo Ota.

Kiyoo Ota

After studying architecture, he worked at a foreign investment bank with the desire to improve society through economics. After experiencing the financial crisis, he decided to pursue art because he wanted to create works that would last forever even after his death. Using tricks such as optical illusions, perspective, and moiré, I create three-dimensional works that disrupt preconceived notions and cause viewers to suddenly notice something.
