Siccatif Courtrai

<Liquid drying accelerator>
A brownish-brown siccativ made from a mixture of metal salts such as cobalt and manganese. The most powerful cobalt salt accelerates drying from the surface of the paint, while manganese salt promotes drying from both the surface and the interior. The dark brown color becomes lighter and less noticeable as it dries. The color tone of the paint changes immediately after mixing and after drying, so care must be taken to balance the color scheme. When mixing directly with oil paint, use up to about 10%, and when mixing with vegetable oil (drying oil), use up to about 30%.

Chiccatifo Blanc

<Liquid drying accelerator>
A pale-colored siccatif containing zinc salts. It has a weaker drying-promoting power than Courtet, but it is a gentle siccatif that dries oil paints evenly from the inside, causing little changes to the surface.
When mixing directly with oil-mix paints, use up to about 10%. When mixing with vegetable oils (drying oils), use up to about 30%.

Pandol

<Varnish>
Dammar resin is dissolved in turpentine, thoroughly filtered and purified, and then refined poppy oil is added to it for use in painting. It gives transparency, viscosity, and gloss, improves the adhesion of paint, and dries quickly. It is usually used as a homemade mixed oil varnish, but it can also be used alone by putting it in an oil bottle.

Petrol

<Volatile oil>
A volatile solvent obtained by fractional distillation and refining solvents extracted from petroleum. Does not contain resinous substances.
Its dissolving power for oils, fats and resins is somewhat weak, and it may cause some varnishes to become cloudy.

Diluting oil paints and painting solutions, removing screen protective varnish
