About the Artwork
ポップと聖性についての取り組みである「FLUID BABY」シリーズのプロトタイプ。 19世紀フランス・アカデミズムの画家ウィリアム・アドルフ・ブグローの『天使の歌』を引用しており、正確にはインターネット上で見かけた 『Study for Song of the Angels（天使の歌のための習作）』に登場する赤子のキリストを写している。 習作というのは、作家自身が頭の中に想定している理想の図像を写し出す絵画の下描き、写しの写しであり、画家の中のイデアとタブロー、 そして習作を並べた際に、現実への出力の順序関係が面白い。この習作がどこに収蔵されているのか、本人による制作であるか、実在するのかも、 現時点では敢えて調べないでおいている。
