PROFILE
1993 三重県出身。
自然豊かな三重県の里山で育った経験をもとに、日本人のアニミズム精神をテーマに作品制作をする。
母の影響で幼少期から料理を得意としており、食に対して関心が強いことが作品に繋がる。食材という身近な自然物に対して感じた神秘性を「食材ヌード」と題して、趣味で写真を撮っていたことがきっかけとなった。
もともと日本では、命を取り込む神事とされていた「食事」。
作品では、食材を観察し、独自の解釈を通して絵に起こすことで、「神」という霊的存在を無意識で感じる アニミズム精神を感覚的に消化吸収をする過程を表現した。
何気ない日常ではあるが、命に直接関わる「食」
食の安全性や食生活の見直しが叫ばれている昨今、日本人が古来より持つ精神性を通して食材を見ることで、現代社会における命や身体、日本人が大切にしていたアイデンティティの存在意義について問う。
