From Monday, May 22, 2023 to Sunday, June 4, 2023, we are pleased to announce that "UP AND COMERS," an exhibition bringing together the young artists our staff are watching closely, will be held at +ART GALLERY on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square.
■About "UP AND COMERS"
This exhibition focuses on the "promising young artists, students included, who are within eight years of beginning their creative careers" whom the plus art staff are watching, and offers a place to experience the "art world of the future" that these young artists are creating.
It provides an opportunity to bring together, in one place, works born of free imagination and a wide range of techniques. The works on display vividly reflect the messages, passion, and ideas of the artists, and are sure to stimulate fresh perspectives and sensibilities in those who view them.
By taking part in the exhibition themselves, the artists can also gain a wealth of feedback on their own work and connect it to further growth. We hope that collectors, too, will make their way to this exhibition—a place to support the young artists who will carry the art world forward and to introduce their talents widely.
Please come to the venue and experience for yourself the power of works brimming with the genuine feelings of the young artists recommended by the plus art staff—artists who hold a strong drive for their practice while facing anxieties and struggles about the future. ■Features of This Exhibition
(1) A total of 16 artists participating
Over the course of two weeks, a total of 16 artists take part, with the display rotating every seven days during the exhibition period. You can encounter artists and works of remarkable expressive power and ideas.
(2) Functioning as a place for scouting and collecting artists
Galleries wishing to reach out to a participating artist, or collectors who would like to speak with one, may approach them directly or inquire with our staff, who can also make the introduction. We would be delighted if this exhibition helped you discover the talents of the future and create opportunities for their future careers.
