Introducing Hatsune Suzuki, an artist of HOLBEIN ART FAIR 2022 4th

When I place the act of making art within the cycle of a person cultivating plants, I examine how the two act upon each other, and—using the materials gathered through that process to “paint”—I hope to grasp the relationship between nature and humankind from a maker's point of view.

Delicately rendered, the works convey the beauty of nature!

Plant motifs and the back of a woman's figure are rendered with a gentle touch, making for warm, soothing works ✨
[Staff comment]
Made with sand, lime, and cement, these works are crafted from natural materials. The vivid life of the plants is delicately depicted, and I found them truly beautiful. What is so fascinating is that, without any ink, every fine detail is rendered and color appears—warm, gentle works. Please come and see them in person at the venue! (Fujinuma)
