私たちは、どこから来て、どこへ向かおうとしているのか。現代を生きるうえで、その根源的な問いと向き合うことは、しばしば後回しにされがちです。 私は、日本人の精神性と民族の記憶を取り戻し、それを未来の子孫に手渡すことを、芸術を通じて目指しています。自然と調和し、祖先を敬い、子孫の幸せを願うという大和民族の根源的な生き方を、今の時代にどう接続しうるか。その試みのひとつが、本作におけるギリシャ神話の引用です。 ギリシャ神話の「ペルセポネ」は、冥界に連れ去られながらも春になると地上に戻り、花々とともに再びこの世を祝福する女神。 「プロメテウス」は、神々から火を盗み、人間に与えたとされる存在であり、その火は、文化・技術・知恵の象徴として今も語り継がれています。 これらの物語には、「再生」「贈与」「循環」という、人類普遍の精神が宿っています。 それは日本の神話にも通じるものであり、異なる神話を仮の器として借りることで、私たちが本来持っていた精神の輪郭を、今という時代に改めて浮かび上がらせたいと願いました。 この作品は、単なる懐古でも、装飾でもありません。 過去からの継承を未来に接続する、精神のインフラの再設計なのです。

土の下で眠っていたものが、ある日ふいに芽吹く。 忘れかけていた祈りが、光を受けて咲きはじめる。 この絵に浮かぶ色たちは、そんな記憶のような花です。 ギリシャ神話では、春になると女神ペルセポネが地上に戻り、世界はふたたび祝祭に包まれると言われています。でも、それは私たちにも起きることかもしれません。 忙しさのなかで、いつの間にか遠くなった自然や祖先や、ほんとうは大切にしていたはずのものたち。それらが、心のどこかで咲きはじめる瞬間。この絵は、そんな時間の入り口であってほしいと願っています。
