HOLBEIN ART FAIR 2022 3rd — Featured Artist: 渡部 未乃

渡部 未乃
Painter. Completed the Oil Painting course of the Painting major, Graduate School of Art and Design, Tama Art University. By rendering vivid nature—plants, the sea, and more—in straight lines, she creates paintings that dwell in the space between opposing relationships: nature and the artificial, the organic and inorganic, the figurative and abstract. In recent years she has been energetically active, holding solo exhibitions and producing murals at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. Her many honors include the Shintaro Ishihara Jury Prize at the Tokyo Wonder Wall 2015 open call and the Grand Prize at the Terrace Art Shonan AWARD.

[Staff Comment]
The colors are so vivid that the works almost seemed to be smiling 😊 After the color, the next thing that catches the eye is the composition. Although everything is drawn in straight lines, the subjects still read as things from nature. Please come and see for yourself the wondrous charm of Watanabe's works, where artificial and natural elements intermingle!(Neda)
