Introducing Kimi Sakaki, an artist of HOLBEIN ART FAIR 2022 4th
I paint the figure of the “child” (as an icon), together with various things, as a vessel of expression and a mirror-like device. I have shown my work in numerous exhibitions in Japan and abroad. Alongside my individual practice, I co-founded the creative unit S+N laboratory, expanding my activities into other fields. In 2019, I also published the art book “KIMI SAKAKI twinkle.”
I mainly draws children (as an icon) with various elements, as a vehicle of expression or a device like a mirror. I had many solo exhibitions at home and abroad, and also have been active in alternative fields forming a creative unit "S+N Laboratory." In 2019, I published "a book of collected works" KIMI SAKAKI twinkle."

1983 Born in Wakayama Prefecture
2010 Graduated from the Painting Course, Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art and Design, Tokyo Zokei University
2012 Completed the Master's program in Fine Arts, Department of Art and Design, Graduate School of Tokyo Zokei University

With pop, bright color choices, the works leave a cheerful impression!
[Staff comment]
Kimi Sakaki's works are marked by ephemeral colors and a warm touch. Planet 3 has a pop feel: though the skeleton evokes death, the bright palette gives it a sunny, endearing quality, which I loved. twin 3 has a warm texture, yet the symmetrically arranged girls and the regular patterns of their clothes create a mysterious impression—a truly lovely work.
