東京芸術大学卒業後、特殊メイクの道に入り、有限会社自由廊を設立。
現在では特殊メイク・造形製作にとどまらず、クリエイティブディレクターとしてフェイス＆ボディペイント、映像、広告、イベント、ファッション等々、幅広い分野にてデザイン＆クリエイティブ制作、およびディレクションを担当。
独自の哲学に基づいた豊かな表現力と、確固たる技術力は、国内外を問わず高く評価されており、フェイスペイントや特殊メイク業界の改革者として注目を浴びている。
TV東京系「TVチャンピオン」特殊メイク王選手権認定チャンピオン（2連覇を達成）や、世界70カ国で読まれている『Make-up Artist Magazine』にて「世界の注目アーティスト10人」に選出されるなど、最先端のペイント技術を用いた作品制作を手掛けており、その発想力とクオリティの高さで世界を魅了している。
2017年、自身初の作品集『Amazing JIRO –SPECIAL MAKEUP–』（出版社：リトル・モア）を発売。

Works as creative/design/art director in a variety of fields.
After graduating Tokyo University of the Arts and entering the world of special effect makeup, JIRO established JUR Co., Ltd.
Currently, JIRO works not only as a special effects makeup artist but also as a creative director in film, drama, TVCM, and other fields.
His power of expression and solid techniques are highly praised by people in Japan and overseas.
JIRO is attracting attention as a reformer of face paint, SFX makeup, and art.
He became a certified champion after winning 2 championships at TV TOKYO TV Champion - Special Effect Makeup Artists Championship.
JIRO was also introduced as one of the "Make-up Around the World: The Global Family of Artists" on the Make-up Artist Magazine, which is read in more than 70 countries.
He creates artwork with advanced painting techniques and attracts the world with his power of ideas and high-quality works.
In 2017, he published his very first art book, Amazing JIRO - SPECIAL MAKEUP - (publisher: Little More).
