■Work Description

The "Reprtition" series is an attempt to capture the aesthetic sense peculiar to modern consumer society, which has been formed due to the decline of the uniqueness of classical painting. This work references Jan van Eyck's "Ghent Altarpiece."
While composing a pop image, in order to give the painting a solid texture peculiar to classical paintings, multiple layers are painted according to a pre-prepared process. In addition, referring to reports on scientific analyses of classical paintings by art museums around the world, paints and painting solutions are mixed and refined, and the color tone and luster are adjusted.
