वॉकी: हैलो, सनी!

■Description of the work: "Through the power of photo editing, WALKY's wish to 'grow big' came true. Then, before his eyes, a rather ostentatious cosplaying giraffe named Sunny appeared, calling herself the sun..." This is the story of the illustration. WALKY grows big through photo editing, while Sunny the giraffe becomes the sun through cosplay and stilt walking. This is the story of the meeting of two animals who, although using different methods, have fulfilled their desire to transform themselves. I hope that viewers will imagine what kind of story the two will unfold after this. I also believe that the stories each person imagines will reflect their own values.

This painting is a fusion of image processing (digital work) and painting (analog work). The processing is done in the same way as when you take a selfie to make your face thinner or your eyes bigger. I think that incorporating these processing techniques into my paintings also affirms the superficial desire for self-actualization (desire for transformation) that is common on social media today.
