この作品は、伝統的な「鬼瓦」や「能面」の意匠を、現代的なポップアートに昇華させた新時代の護符です。 中央にそびえる鬼の顔は、怒りと威厳を宿しながらも、どこか超越的な存在感を放っています。その理由は、額と両目に宿る三つの眼にあります。それぞれの眼には宇宙が映し出され、鬼が単なる「鬼」ではなく、全てを見通す異界の番人であることを示しています。 左右対称のデザインは、伝統的な「魔除け」の構造を踏襲しつつ、鮮やかな色彩によって現代的な躍動感を生み出しています。特に目元を覆うパターンは、仮面のような効果を生み出し、「この鬼は仮面なのか、それとも本物なのか？」という問いを投げかけてきます。 背景に施された金箔風のテクスチャは、古来より魔除けや権威の象徴とされてきました。しかし、作品の四隅をカットしダイヤ型に配置することで、固定された価値観からの脱却を示唆しています。これは、伝統を継承しながら新たな表現へと進化する、アートそのものの姿を象徴しています。 「鬼板」は、ただの装飾ではありません。 それは境界の守護者であり、見る者に問いかける存在です。
