plus art co., ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Taku Nitta), which supports the creators of contemporary art, is pleased to announce that, together with Re-Creation co., ltd. (Nerima-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yoji Yamamoto), whose mission is "to keep creating moving experiences," it will hold the special exhibition "e to oto to...2023 ~ART×MUSIC~"—themed on "art and music"—at +ART GALLERY on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, beginning Monday, June 5, 2023.

"Art and music are close." This has long been said.
Have you ever experienced it for yourself?
In this project, we present an exhibition that invites you to "reconsider music from the standpoint of art, and to listen to art from the standpoint of music."
How the exhibition works...
1. Artworks by artists active primarily in the music industry and by leading figures in the art world will be exhibited side by side.
2. At this exhibition, the songs the artists and creators listen to while making their work will be turned into playlists you can enjoy at the venue.
3. From Monday, June 5 to Sunday, June 25, 2023, the participating artists at the venue will rotate on a weekly basis.
The first edition was held in August 2021, featuring up-and-coming creators such as Niina Ai, Ai Otsuka, KIHOW (MYTH & ROID) and Kohei Yamada, Moe Shimada, and Toshiyuki Maeda. Last year, in addition to Ai Otsuka, who has taken part since the first edition, artists including Yuko Ando, YORKE., and noMO (yonawo) joined. With numerous creators from the art world gathering as well, the event came to a hugely successful close.
Now in its third year, this exhibition spans three weeks with a total of 14 participants!
As for the lineup that has everyone talking...
From the music industry, eyeron (Sonar Pocket), exhibiting for the first time, and Miyuu will take part! Also confirmed is a dazzling lineup including YORKE., who returns for a second exhibition after selling out last year!!!
From the art side, participants include the much-awarded Yoichiro Otani, Hana Tanigaki, Aya Kurashiki, and more.
Up-and-coming illustrators, as well as Dai Goto—an actor who is also active in art—and other popular creators now drawing attention in the art world will make their appearance!
As in previous years, at the venue you can use the Spotify codes posted exclusively on site to listen on your own smartphone to what music each artist listens to while painting, and what music they would like you to listen to as you view the work!
Please come and visit the plus art Gallery!
