PROFILE
山田ゆかりは、「Find the sparkling moment in life.」（人生のきらめく瞬間を切りとる）をコンセプトに、絵画や詩を制作している現代アート作家である。
特に抽象絵画において線と円を用いる手法は、全てのものは原子や分子といった肉眼ではとらえきれないもので構成されており、その濃淡や密度、ひいては気配の可視化を直線と曲線で表すことができるという考えから生まれたもの。
それらを一度彼女の中で分解し、改めて再構築しながら作品に落とし込むことによって、人生の選択の幅や可能性、日常を何気なく過ごせることへの幸せや、現代のテクノロジーの超進化で鈍化しがちな身体や心の活性化や喜びを再認識してもらえることを願っている。
また、解説として日本語の詩を添えることにより、抽象絵画という無限の解釈の可能性を１つに限定することなく、作品と鑑賞者の橋渡しを試みている。
そして、写真と絵の具を組み合わせることによって生まれる現実を超越した世界観を展開するミクストメディアや、水滴を使うことにより斬新な視点を提案するポスターアートも制作しており、表現者としての挑戦を常に続けている。
個展や展覧会では可能な限り会場に合わせた作品制作を心がけており、彼女の展示では、目で楽しむ絵画作品や詩のみならず、耳で楽しむ音楽、鼻で楽しむ香り、触れて楽しむ植栽、など「五感すべてでアートを楽しむ」をテーマに展示空間全体のコーディネートを行っている。
国内外で精力的に活動し、特に2019年の上海での大規模個展は高い評価を受けた。
日本酒のラベルやアパレルブランド等とのコラボレーションも手掛けるなど、活動の幅は多岐に渡る。
