私は作家活動を始めた2009年から「付喪神（つくもがみ）」をテーマに作家活動を続けてきました。
付喪神とは、長い年月を経た物に命が宿るとされる日本特有の考え方です。
妖怪絵巻に登場するちょうちんお化けやぬりかべ、一反木綿など、有名な付喪神は数多く知られていますが、私はこの概念を伝承で語られる昔の妖怪という認識から、現代も我々のすぐ傍に息づく存在として、身近に感じられるような制作活動を続けています。
