【Staff Comment】

It feels as though a vast landscape has been captured inside a frame—a wonderful work, like a miniature diorama. Look closely and you are drawn into its world, almost able to hear the murmur of a flowing river and the chirping of insects.
We warmly invite you to visit the gallery. (Ri)

【Exhibition Information】

Over the several years of the pandemic, our ideas of home and office have shifted. This exhibition invites you to feel what a “comfortable space” in harmony with nature truly means.

As outings became restricted, more and more people came to want, in the very places where they and their loved ones live, objects that bring a sense of “awareness”—things to cherish for years and that invite quiet reflection. Among these, nature-inspired art such as terrariums and bonsai grew especially popular during the pandemic, and many people brought such pieces into their homes.
In this exhibition, we once again turn our attention to art that lets you feel the texture of nature and contemplate the timescale of the earth—presenting works that enrich the texture of everyday life.
The highlight of this exhibition is a body of work, found nowhere else, that expresses both the dynamism and the delicacy of the natural world—its landscapes and living things. Using nature’s own elements—moss, wood, soil, and water—the artists consistently express the beauty of nature. From pieces that distill concepts on a cellular scale to terrariums, bonsai, ceramics, and photography, you can enjoy works and expressions across many different scales within a single space.
