Special exhibition “art remix” with gallery UG, which has a history of 20 years

Plus Art Co., Ltd. (English name: plus art co., ltd, location: Suginami-ku, Tokyo, representative: Takashi Nitta), which supports contemporary art creators, has been operating gallery UG (which has been discovering and nurturing artists for 20 years). We are pleased to announce that "art remix" will be held at "+ART GALLERY" on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square from Wednesday, September 21, 2022, together with Eiichiro Sasaki (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Eiichiro Sasaki).

■“artremix”

Remix refers to the re-editing of a work, or a re-edited work, but here I would like it to be understood in the sense of re-examining an existing work from a new perspective. The modern art scene is rapidly changing, and values are constantly being updated. Looking at works from a new perspective and looking at them from a current perspective can lead to new discoveries. Please enjoy how this exhibition will be reflected to Shibuya's audience, who continue to be drawn to the "now".

Kunihiko Nohara: Many of his works are based on clouds, and the work that is obsessed with cappuccino is a unique work that combines clouds and cappuccino. There are many animal works, and you can enjoy Kunihiko Nojima's cute works.

Kyomi Tajima: Kyomi Tajima is active as a sculptor. The cute animals made of sculptures have a worldview, are characterized by vivid colors and unique poses, and are wonderful works of art that will soothe your soul.

Mikako Takahashi: The animals are carrying us on their backs, creating a vast and interesting view of the world.I felt a strong sense of loneliness when I saw them walking in a desert-like area, and the longer I looked at them, the more I was drawn into the world of the painting. I'm intrigued to see where all the animals go.

Junko Asano: Animals are depicted in a nostalgic world. I think works that depict worlds that last forever and where you don't know what lies ahead will stir the imagination of the viewer. The calm gray atmosphere is accented with bright reds and yellows.

Ryosuke Kabira: This is a unique work that uses pants as part of the canvas, and is a wonderful piece that is integrated with the background canvas. Each work has a different atmosphere, and you can enjoy Ryosuke Kabira's work from a variety of worldviews, making it a one-of-a-kind work.

Nobuko Numano: I use a variety of art materials with themes such as flowers and plants, and the work is not just one side, but also the sides as part of the work. The colorful colors fill you with a nostalgic feeling that will take you back to your childhood.

Hitomi Oshima: Beautiful flora and fauna are depicted. This work has the elegance of Japanese painting, and seems to depict the world as Hitomi Oshima sees it. The cat's body is made up of animals and plants, and both playfulness and beauty coexist.

Gekko Numata: Gekko Numata's works often use animals and insects as subject matter, and the faces of the animals are particularly realistic, conveying their lively expressions. The textures of animal fur and insects are very delicately expressed.

Kana Uchida: This work features colorful girls and a cute retro atmosphere. The light touch and clear colors give it an attractive look. The girl's hair and objects are also delicately drawn, bringing out her beauty. The world view is very interesting and cute.
