Introducing “SYNESTHESIA” artist Kenichi Sugimoto

Kenichi Sugimoto

Born in Hokkaido. Artist, designer.
Based on the concept of "INSPARABLE INSTINCT," the instincts that lie within humans are expressed in the form of animals. The raw instincts and boundless energy of childhood gradually fade as we grow older. However, there are times when we suddenly become emotional or act according to our instincts. This inseparable wild instinct is depicted by fusing humans and animals.

There are cute animals.

It's very interesting to see bright colors in monochrome.

Please come to the venue.

[Staff comment]

This is a work that you can enjoy even more by imagining what kind of inner life the possessed animal has!
My favorite is [Banana Juice from Bananas], and I thought it was a very interesting work because instead of "feeling animal instincts from humans", you could feel "humanity from animals" 👀! (Kawahara)
