■作品説明
「加工の力で何匹にも分裂したWALKYは自分にそっくりな友達とパーティをします。気の合う仲間(沢山の自分自身)と過ごす時間はまるで誕生日のように素敵なひとときでした。」というストーリーの絵です。モノクロで描かれているキューピッド(天使と悪魔)は1人のキャラクターが分裂して向き合う事で矢が自分自身に刺さり、自分の事が好きになるという事を表現しています。「自己完結できる(1人の)楽しい時間は自分自身の心を豊かにする」というテーマを込めています。
画像加工(デジタルの作業)とペインティング(アナログの作業)が融合された絵画になっています。加工の部分は一般的に自撮り写真で自分の顔を痩せさせたり、目を大きくしたりする動作と同じ要領・感覚で施しています。これらの加工を絵画表現として組み込むことは、現代のSNS上で行われている表面的な自己実現欲求(変身願望)を肯定する事にも繋がると考えています。
