Feel and enjoy art “Exhibition for “SYNESTHESIA” ~ Synesthesia that creates the future ~ vol.4”

About the exhibition “Exhibition for “SYNESTHESIA” vol.4 ~ Synesthesia that creates the future ~”

This exhibition is a planned exhibition initiated by the artist neuronoa. Art created by creators (artists) enriches our sensibilities and gives us new values, but it is difficult to feel it on the surface. ``Learn about the work/artist from a multilayered perspective, such as the story of the context/background in which the work was created, the creator's thoughts and personality, the color of the work itself, tastes in expression, and techniques, etc. I believe that we can benefit from art by doing so.

In this exhibition, it is basically possible to purchase and sell the works on display, but in addition to that, you can also take a look at the ``artist interviews'' and ``artist introduction blogs'' posted on SNS. We are planning to develop a way to enjoy art in a way that allows us to ``not just look at it, but feel it,'' such as by directly speaking with the artist when they are in the gallery.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Comment from the initiator <br>The purpose of this exhibition is for viewers to update their sensibilities and foster new values through art, and we have brought together 10 diverse and up-and-coming artists. "SYNESTHESIA" in the exhibition title refers to the sense of sensing colors in letters and sounds, and sensing shapes in tastes and smells. We hope that the diverse expressions woven by these 10 artists will give you an opportunity to discover something within you.

[Author introduction]

neuronoa

After wandering around the world in more than 30 countries and working as a creator creating music, design, videos, etc., he began producing art in earnest in 2021. Based on the concept of an "information society," he creates abstract paintings with motifs of famous people such as musicians and actors. Using expressions so abstracted that it is impossible to read people's facial expressions, we ask the question, ``What is true information?'' in an ``information society.'' Going beyond the boundaries of art, he is actively involved in projects of various genres both domestically and internationally. Because we want people to always focus on his work, we keep his nationality, gender, age, real face, etc. hidden from the public.

Based on the concept of "INSPARABLE INSTINCT," the instincts that lie within humans are expressed in the form of animals. The raw instincts and boundless energy of childhood gradually fade as we grow older. However, there are times when we suddenly become emotional or act according to our instincts. This inseparable wild instinct is depicted by fusing humans and animals.

Tomohiro Shimizu

Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008, majoring in oil painting.
I would like to capture something like a "phenomenon" rather than a specific form. When small pieces come together, they somehow look like a whole.
However, it might be blown apart again and disappear when I take my eyes off it.
I would like to record this brief "phenomenon".

Signed a contract with a gallery in New York and began working as an artist, holding multiple exhibitions. After returning to Japan, he started working as khayah and in 2020 as IKU →.
I wanted to meet myself.

However, I can't meet you just by being myself. I am aware of who I am, but what am I and why am I here? You become aware of yourself through the flow of moments with the living things that connect you. Inspired by daily feelings and real experiences, he considers the existence of faces from the perspective of life and death, and relationships with others and himself, and while questioning them, he expresses various faces that are imaginary.
