The darkness I am referring to here is not simply the color black, but a kind of presence that tends to be overlooked at first glance in a scene. I feel that this darkness not only gives a sense of awe, but can also sometimes empathize with people's loneliness. \u003cbr\u003eThe reason I turned my attention to this was because of the lonely experience I had when I lived in a small residential area where I didn't know anyone. Darkness is a device that creates loneliness, and the sense of tranquility and impatience felt when looking at that loneliness is revealed a little through painting. I want to invite the viewer into a little of that darkness.
