Ryoko Kumakura / ryoko kumakura

Born in Tokyo in 1991. She graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Arts, Department of Oil Painting. She is currently based in Tokyo.
She produces paintings based on the image born in the process of people trying to understand the world in history. She collects her image from a multifaceted perspective for one thing, and constitutes her work based on it. She presents the fragility of correctness by handing a different image of the same thing as a priced image of the same thing. She also shakes her visually by mixing multiple description methods such as realistic depictions and graffiti -like lines, and using a method of deceived paintings. I am producing a work that asks what is visible.
The main exhibition is the 2019 solo exhibition "CONIUNCTIO" (Imperial Hotel Plaza Medel Gallery Shu/Tokyo), the 2018 solo exhibition "PSEUDOMER" (Red and Blue Gallery/Tokyo), 2018 "DI-VISION/0" Ryoko Kumakura, Ten Nagai Two people exhibitions (TAV GALLERY / Tokyo). She joined "Gunma Youth Biennale" in 2019.
