REI INABA/Rei Inaba
He is the only artist in Japan who uses a unique method of pasting kimono threads called "fiber painting." He also works in oil paintings, monotype prints, and mixed media, and has exhibited many times overseas, including in Amsterdam and Taipei. He continues to engage in a wide range of activities, both figurative and abstract, such as corporate collaboration murals and live painting for events.
“Kimono-fibre painter” based in Tokyo Japan. A unique professional artist drawing with glued Japanese kimono yarns. Also producing oil paint, monotyping and mixed media works, attended many international art fairs in Amsterdam, Taipei, etc. Keeps being active in a A wide range of activities as corporate office murals, live painting events, regardless of concrete or abstract.
Last year, I wanted to make art more pervasive in the world. Rei Inaba is a textile artist and organizer of the art event "Desert Water", which was founded with this in mind. This time, based on the concept of "Vulnerability", we will be exhibiting mainly abstract paintings that have not been exhibited much until now.
