2. Works
『FACE-Go Around』

Those of us living in the present day
are used to processing information all at once
We watch films with subtitles
A guest appears in a picture-in-picture on the TV screen
and we hold meetings with crowds of people over Zoom
Nocturnal scenery
and multitasking
A series that explores the affinity between these two, born of modern society
In its early days it combined human faces and iconic night views with a different worldview,
and so it was named Face
『To The Bright Side & Brism』

A night scene is the sum of humankind's creations
The iconic view looking down from above
may be a scene viewed by a presence that already transcends human understanding
Two styles: To The Brightside, and Brism, which branched off from it
There is not much difference between the two,
but the former focuses on landmark buildings
while the latter centers on the harmony of the sky and the overall atmosphere
(Brism often uses a vertical composition)
『Stream』

If I could become the wind, what kind of scenery would I see?
The wind is greater than any human.
So surely its field of view is wider too.
Then I would dare to drift slowly, far into the distance,
and gaze at the city in a single straight line.
『Industrial 』

The beauty of the night carries a sense of transgression within it
To draw out that contradiction to its very limit,
he combined inorganic man-made objects with a dreamlike sky
3. Why we recommend this artist
What sets Kitsukawa's works apart, above all, is their beautiful night scenes.
While realistic, his works convey the very emotion of standing before a night view—a beauty of light that a photograph could never capture, as if it embraces that feeling whole.
Because the backgrounds are black, they go well with concrete or chic, darker-toned rooms. ✨
And displayed in a room with a night view of its own, they match all the more, with a refined sense of style. ✨
Why not bring a painting of a night scene into your home and enjoy a rich, luxurious evening? 🍷✨
