Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1995, where she is still based. Her work evokes the traces of existence, memory, the act of seeing, and confronting what stands before us—as in the "blindness" series, which combines oil-painted portraits with fire, and the "mortality" series, three-dimensional pieces that melt sculptures and picture frames made of wax.We are delighted to introduce the artist Ayaki Kurasaki!
